Oh Captain! My Captain!
September 14, 2009
Even though Labor Day has come and gone, summer continues for a few more weeks. We made what may be our last trip to Bumpass for the summer.
The family wasn't there en masse, so we enjoyed an extended boat ride on the pontoon boat with my parents. If you recall one of my Flashback Friday posts when I went overboard, that didn't happen this time.
Tim didn't drive.
Instead, we had a new captain at the helm, Troy.

Between steering the boat and honking the horn, he had a heck of a good time.
Honking going under the bridge was a definite highlight.
At one point we saw three doe running through a field, a fish jumping and a bald eagle flying. This was the first time I had seen an eagle in the wild.

Looks fun! It reminds me of going to my parents house on Table Rock Lake (in Branson, MO).
What a cutie and a beautiful home. I hate the end of summer
xx
It isn't weird you don't know who he is but my kids and I have a tendancy to British humor. Russell Brand (host of the VMAs)
Eddie was in Across the Universe and Valkyrie with Tom Cruise.
His joy is just radiating! I love it! What a weekend you had. :)
Beautiful home. Those Labs looked very interested in getting in that water.
One of my fav childhood memories is of a friend of my Dad's. He had a boat off the Potomac and a cottage on the river. Very rustic and primitive but we loved it. He would let my sister and I steer the boat, which made my mother extremely anxious.
Ah, I'm glad Pontoon Boy didn't show off. It wouldn't be fun to tease him if something bad happened. TNT is cute as ever!
Love the water, looks like mucho fun!
Troy looks so proud! Great photos.
