Flashback Friday - (part 31) - Freshman Roommates

September 11, 2009

Packing off your bags and heading to college in August 1994 was so exciting. Virginia Tech assigned me a roommate at random and it worked out very well. Missy and I lived together our freshman and sophomore years on campus. For my junior and senior years, girls who lived on our floor ended up being my roommates off-campus.

We were on the seventh floor or the penthouse of our dorm. The floor below us had all boys and it smelled like deodorent and stinky socks. They also barely had room for their beds because their speakers filled their rooms.

One day the boys directly below us were blaring their music so loud that my friend Therese and I decided to have our own dance party and jump as much as possible til they turned it down.

It didn't work but we had a good time trying.
By the way, that's my 1994 Lollapalloza concert t-shirt.

Last night, Missy came over with her husband because they were in town all week on vacation. We hadn't seen each other in over 11 years. It was great to catch up with each other.

Now it's your turn. Find an old picture and share a story about it or why you wanted to share it now. Flashback Friday has no real rules other than to have fun. Please share the link to your actual post and not main blog below for others to find you.

Lollapalloza...hmmm...I didn't take ya for a wild and crazy kind of gal. Memories, gotta love it.

It's always nice to catch up with old friends. Sometimes you can just pick up where you left off and it's like no time has passed at all.

Happy Sits Saturday Sharefest!

Love the picture! I could never do the dancing thing, though...

That story was too funny! At least you had fun trying to make him stop. I wish I had old photos like that.
