Fore! For Four plus One

September 30, 2009

While in Kentucky this past weekend, we took Cary and Carson to play miniature golf while Troy stayed behind with Grandma. He was tired after all the football activity the day before.

Cary
Cary's girlfriend, Jane, joined us for the first round of 18 holes.

It was cold at first on the course and we played it straight. Tapping into the golf skills I learned in college, I didn't do so poorly once we got warmed up literally and figuratively.

Jane was a ringer at first and got a few hole in ones which left Cary slightly dumbfounded.

IMG_3335Jane had to leave to do homework. (I don't miss those days.) So, we decided to get creative and play another nine holes. The winner of the previous hole decided how we would shoot and it couldn't be traditional. If there was a tie, simple measures were taken to determine the winner- Rocks, Paper, Scissors.

extremely complicated

Some things we tried were the club behind your legs.IMG_3346
Closing your eyes which Carson is demonstrating. We later did it again with a shirt wrapped around our heads because it was more embarassing. While Tim was blindfolded, Carson kicked his ball out of the way just before he swung. Carson had tears in her eyes from laughing as a result.

Shooting like it was billiards for every attempt.

Hi, we are THOSE people and enjoyed every minute of it. I don't think we ever did tally the final scores so it's same to ass-u-me, I WON.

Your twists on the game are awesome! I don't know if I could have swung a club from laughing so hard!
