Bunco on the Bay
September 16, 2010
My monthly gambling bunco game was last night with the ladies. Every month a different member of our gang group hosts and last night it was held a block off the bay.
The beach style home that is typically seen further south in the Outer Banks of North Carolina made it feel like I was on vacation. The four floors of wraparound porches only increased this feeling.
Then the gambling dice game started after dinner.
There is a constant noise level of women talking from room to room with the occasional explosion of laughter.
Customary self-portrait of The Laugher and myself.
At the end of the winners are separated from the losers and the money is distributed. In three years, I have never won top prize. The closest I came was second and that was three years ago.
In the event of a tie, players do anything they can for good luck.
We pay twice our ante and in the last two years have raised $1,250 for breast cancer research.
It's a cause where every woman wins.

OMG the pink house.
Yay for Bunko!
I want to live on that beach someday.
That's so awesome to raise the money for breast cancer.
I want a house with a wrap around porch and a view of the ocean. sigh.
