Last Morning and Other Random Things
August 10, 2010
Troy has grown up a lot this summer. He'll turn four in November but this summer he has started holding his breath and going under water in our ghetto pool. He took two weeks of swimming lessons at my parents' lake house and now can float on his back and sort of coordinate his arms and legs at the same time.

He attended his first bible camp where the theme was Egypt. At the conclusion of the week when the priest asked him what he learned about mummies, Troy said, "you just wrap a person up in toilet paper."

His vocabulary continues to expand and one thing that I correct him on but still think he's got a good point on is when he says, "last morning, when we went to school...and then...and then..."
Really, we say last night so why not last morning?
This weekend he wanted a sip of my iced tea and when I told him no he said, "But Mommy, my belly is saying, 'I wantttt someeee iceddddd teaaaaaa.' " I had to give him a sip since his belly asked.
We took advantage of the tax-free back to school shopping this past weekend and I got him some new sneakers. He had to have the blue ones because "they will make me run, really, really, really fast Mommy." Then he demonstrated when we got home.
Unlike his Mommy, I only run if it's last call.
