Flashback Friday (Part 63) - Men's Bowling Night

July 16, 2010

The Neighbors are mentioned frequently on this blog because even though they don't live next door to us anymore, they still live within a mile.

After briefly living in their home for two months before we got married in what I referred to as The Frat House, we moved into our current home seven years ago.

For a few years, before all the kids, we convened on Thursday nights at one another's houses to eat dinner and play cards.

It was called Men's Bowling Night.

We never bowled.

It included women.

For variety, the boys would often engage each other in a friendly sober game of quarters.

We would also routinely have a Beer-decathalon on the weekend.

We attempted a Men's Bowling Night two years ago when The Neighbors and former Frat House residents Kat and Ed who had returned for a weekend.

Our party has grown considerably now which explains why we haven't done it in years.Men's Bowling NightWe're just waiting for the kids to get a little older so they can fetch us beers without shaking them.

Now it's your turn.

Find an old picture and share a story about it. Flashback Friday has no real rules other than to have fun. Please share the link in comments to your actual post and not main blog for others to find you. If you'd like the button, here's the code to include. There's a square option on the side.

Yes - the "no shaking" part is key.
