The Darwin Award Goes To...

March 12, 2010

Last night, I celebrated my 34th birthday at The Neighbors house.

Caroline told a story that had us all collectively say, that is a Darwin Award if we'd ever heard one.
This story deserves a Darwin Award
It began with her boss' mechanic named John.

John's dog was old and sick with cancer. Instead of taking the animal to the vet to be euthanized or as Kay the Redneck's family would do, out back and shoot it, he decided the more humane way would be to leave the dog in his garage, with the car running, so he'd die of carbon monoxide.

Although I didn't agree with this approach, I thought it was an interesting thought process.

After a significant amount of time, John went into the garage to check to see if his dog had moved on to the great doghouse in the sky.

He had.

Unfortunately for John, he didn't open the garage door.

He died too.
This story deserves a Darwin Award

Here's to you John!

-->Yes, it IS a true story. He died last Tuesday.

He would have had to stay in that garage for a while before he died, wouldn't he? If he just walked in he would have smelled the fumes and gone back out immediately.

This has urban myth written all over it. Who told you he died last Tuesday, the person telling the story? Or did you know this guy?

Your kidding, right? I don't wanna sound insensitive or anything, but...thats got stupid written all over it. Unless of course he passed out from climbing blue mountains.
