Flashback Friday (part 32) - Strike a Pose
September 18, 2009
A few years ago I took a few graduate courses at one of the local colleges, ODU, where I recently attended their first football game in 69 years.
One of my projects was to create a website telling a story about my life. I decided to focus on my childhood spent at my parents' lake house. I was looking through pictures last night and found this gem that I scanned in for the project website.
Strike a pose. No wonder I was called Freckle Face.

That couch behind me has been recovered and is now in the basement that was added in 2000. I'm sure if I looked I could still find that afghan. Change doesn't happen rapidly in Bumpass.
This is what the house looked like at the time, circa -1982.

In case you've never seen it before, this is what it looks like now, circa -last weekend.
Like a lot of things do as they get older, they get bigger. That reminds me, I need to start working out.
Now it's your turn. Find an old picture and share a story about it or why you wanted to share it now. Flashback Friday has no real rules other than to have fun. Please share the link to your actual post and not main blog below for others to find you.
If you'd like the button, here's the code to include. There's a square option to your left as well.

Very cute and quite a change in the house and you over the years.

How fun! Great idea...I am going to keep this in mind for next Friday.
The lake house is beautiful. What a wonderful place to make memories!
love your outfit, was it velour? : )
Wow - what an awesome house! Looks a lot different now!
I wish I could go back and look at changes like that. My parents moved instead of updating. :(
Your freckles are adorable!
What a great house!!!!! So.. big and beautiful.... AHHH 1980s...my favorite decade
Hey lots of changes, I still remember my first visit without the decks. Sorry we missed you and Tim but it was great to meet Troy.

That picture of you is definitely a "gem". Nothing like a bowl cut when you have curly hair. I spent the better part of my formative years with what I refer to as "The Wedge".
