Flashback Friday (part 26) - High School Friends

I post a lot of pictures from my trips to my parents' lake house in Bumpass, Va. I spent the majority of my life on the weekends there and it's continued into my adult-life.

In high school, my friends often joined me there. One time I went with my lake friend Kay to Virginia Beach and my friends still went to the lake house anyway.

This picture was taken by my friend Julie in July 1993, we were all about 16 or 17 and sitting on the bench on the dock that is still there. Our dogs frequently lay under it to take a break from swimming.
From left to right is Amy, Jen, me and Sarah. Last week, Sarah was in town with her husband and son and stayed with us. We had so much fun laughing about old times. Like when we told our parents that we were staying at each others' house for the weekend and secretly drove four hours to Virginia Beach for the weekend and slept in the car. Sarah was such a bad influence on me. Ha!

We hadn't seen them since they slept in a tent in my backyard for my thirtieth birthday. Before that it was when we invaded their home for a week with The Neighbors when they lived in Jackson Hole, WY. This was also the site of Tim's infamous snowboard crash.
