Horseshoes 101

After the crab pickin' on Saturday and before the 911 wings, Uncle Mikey was teaching Troy how to throw horseshoes in the backyard.

The big block on top of the post was placed there several years ago so none of the kids running in the yard would impale themselves if they tripped.

Troy is a natural. Of course it doesn't hurt that he's 24 inches from the pin when he throws either. I don't even get that special treatment when I play horseshoes with the boys.
