He Tried to Kill Me.

May 28, 2009

Over Memorial Day weekend while at Lake Anna in Bumpass, Va. my husband tried to kill me. What's interesting is that he did it in the middle of the day, in the middle of the lake and there were witnesses. Tim and Deb in Lake AnnaHe took me out on our friends' Sean and Amy's jet ski. The intention was to race my brother Mike and his wife Ana. I didn't realize that part of the race was for Tim to kill me. On jet ski in Lake AnnaHolding on for dear life, I peeked over his shoulder to see we were going well over 60 mph and jumping waves at the same time. The next thing you know he did a 360 and *SPLASH*, Deb went flying off the back of the jet ski at 100 40 mph. These pictures were taken when we came back in from the ride of terror.

Then there is Troy; sweet, sweet Troy who had never been on a jet ski before. He had a lot of firsts this weekend including catching his first fish the following day.

Since his life insurance doesn't pay out nearly as much as mine, Tim took Troy on a nice gentle ride around the cove.
Coached by his father, Troy said he wanted a boat several times after his joy ride. It's a shame he couldn't grasp my ride of terror. This is also coming from a person who has driven jet skis since the age of 10.

Lesson learned: Next time, I drive!

I love driving a jet ski. I get scared when I go too fast cause I don't want to fall off and hit the water like it's pavement.

OMG! Greg and I did the same thing! Except I was driving! And it was the first time we had ever hung out. LOL He fell off the back and brought me down with him. Ouch. I ended up with a bruised rib. Must have been love right? HAHA

Yeah, my husband couldn't even get me on a jet ski to begin with.

Shudder.

This reminds me of the time he ran over you with that house boat thing when you were first dating! Clearly, he hasn't changed much! :)
