On Thanksgiving, Focus on the Important Things
December 1, 2011
My quality of life would improve dramatically if my ratio of days off was significantly greater than my days in the office. This past Thanksgiving break fit this equation and it was quite nice.
This year was the first time I’ve hosted dinner because it’s less than a week from Troy’s birthday party.
My mother-in-law was in town and unlike two years ago when we didn’t put her in the sweat shop.
This time, Cheryl was here to make pies and give Troy a haircut.

It’s Thanksgiving, let’s focus on what’s important --
Homemade pies and free haircuts for all my friends!
Also, two big smoked turkey breasts!

We also enjoyed delicious mimosas in the traditional Thanksgiving dancing naked lady glasses. It’s another Thanksgiving (and Christmas) tradition in our house.
Happy hour was interrupted with a trip to the neighborhood park so the kids and dogs could run around, attack each other and mark their territories. You can decide who did what in this scenario.

We had a great Thanksgiving and I hope you did as well.
