Flashback Friday (Part 69) - I Think I Married Rambo
September 3, 2010
When I first met Tim in a bar, he told me he was a Green Beret in the Army. I looked at him and said, "Is that good?"
When we were first dating he was stationed three hours south in North Carolina at Ft. Bragg. He would drive up every Friday night and leave in the middle of the night on Sunday to make PT (physical training) at 6 a.m. Since I was still living in an apartment, he'd take my dirty clothes back to the barracks on Sunday and bring them back clean on Friday for a FULL YEAR.
No wonder I married him.
He would also stop every Friday on the way back into town to buy me daisies. The store owners started to call him Mr. Daisy.
No wonder I married him.
Tim was the sniper on his Green Beret team and their specialty was French so they traveled to several African countries for training. I learned that his team was very similar to Navy SEALS except they didn't want Charlie Sheen either.
I think I married Rambo.
He looks pretty good in this picture.
No wonder I married him.
Now it's your turn.
Find an old picture and share a story about it. Flashback Friday has no real rules other than to have fun.

He is totally hot in that pic.. who needs Charlie Sheen..
Dang, girl, he's smokin'!!!!!
Now the story of your husband's OCDishness is clearer. My dad was in the Army as well and our home was always spotless.
Both my sister and I have well organized homes although she really does have OCD.
My first hubby was in the army and had a bod just like that... yummers. Of course that was in 1974, now he's old and flabby like me. LOL
So there really are romance novel husbands. And he's a nice person too? you must be one heckofa lady!

Flowers AND laundry? Yeah. I'd marry him too!
