Flashback Friday (Part 67) - Join the Union

August 20, 2010

For some reason in 1989, I grabbed a L.L. Bean and became obsessed with having the union suit. Maybe I wanted to be a lumberjack in a different life and felt I was missing out on something.

It may have had something to do with the fact that my Canadian mother was always hot so she never rarely turned the heat on in the house so as a result I was always freezing in my bed.

Regardless, on Christmas morning 1989 I received my union suit. As an extra surprise, she ordered one for Santa my dad too.
Christmas 1989 - Deb and Jack
Please note the bird on bamboo wallpaper, our his and her slippers (see above about lack of heat) and big screen television. This was just one step on my journey towards becoming a fashion icon.

The next picture taken was of us turned around and showing how their was a button on the butt. However, one of us failed to button up and ended up mooning my family. Nice Dad.

Now it's your turn.

Find an old picture like Cathy and share a story about it. Flashback Friday has no real rules other than to have fun.

Thinking about my menopausal hot flashes... hmmm, maybe a trap door in the britches would be a great way to cool off.

That is an amazing picture! Those union suits are quite flattering.

My flashback is also very fashion savvy.
