Flashback Friday (Part 61) - The Proposal
June 25, 2010
Tim and I have known each other for over 11 years and have been married for seven since typing the knot in Jamaica. That seems like such a long time when I actually type it out on paper for the blog.
We got engaged just outside of Charlottesville, Va. on a mountainside where this picture was taken about two weeks before on our way home from a Virginia Tech football game.
We were hanging on our way to a birthday party with our pig roast friends with the bloody mary toolkit the night he proposed and he drove past their exit to get to this spot. I knew something was up as soon as we went by and he gave me some excuse about wanting to see a castle in the distance from the pull off lookout spot on the highway.
When he proposed my first reaction was "I knew it!"
I eventually said "yes."
That about sums up our 11-year relationship.
Now it's your turn.
Find an old picture like Cathy then share a story about it. Flashback Friday has no real rules other than to have fun. Please share the link in comments to your actual post and not main blog for others to find you. If you'd like the button, here's the code to include. There's a square option on the side.

Sweet! I'm sure "I knew it" was just the reaction he was looking for!
My flashback is up!
what a beautiful place to be proposed too. And what a way to knock a man down when he proposes, LOL
What a fabulous story and what a view! I would have totally called bluff on the "I want to see a castle" thing too! But very creative none the less!
So sweet! Mine was one of those I-know-what-you're-doing proposals, too. LOL
Awww, that's a pretty place for a proposal. "I knew it!" is a funny response, did he laugh or panic???

Gorgeous Fall colours in the background!
Fantastic place for a proposal. It's even high enough that if you say no you can...(censored).

This has been my problem: I've never met a man who wanted to "typing the knot" with me!
"I knew it!" LOL. So romantic of you :)
