Flashback Friday (part 59) - The Original Family Picture

After being at the lake house this past weekend, I spotted this picture that I always remember being on display growing up.
It was taken in 1978 and I was the cute little girl in the bottom row at the age of two.
There are a few things that strike me about this picture.
1. My mother was a redhead. I knew this fact all of my life but she let it go blonde white sometime in her 40s and I was rather young, so I don't remember it being red.
2. My dad's shirt. I actually asked him if he still had it because Halloween will be here before you know it.
3. My brother Mike's cold sore. He has always been prone to them and I blame it on karma. Maybe he shouldn't have tied me up in my own rocking chair with my jump rope so many times.
4. My dad's hair. I mean really. Although if Donald Trump is still sporting something similar maybe it has a Sampson-like effect.
5. My brother's polka dotted shirt. I said something about it over the weekend and my mother pointed out that she made it herself. Oops.
6. Me. I actually was finally starting to grow some hair on my head. Then it got really curly before the freckles showed up.
7. My sister Tricia actually looks cute in her pink tunic dress.
8. My dad's glasses. He has since gotten new frames at least twice but my mother has failed to tell him, they're exactly the same.
9. My mom's eyebrows. She is the only one who has them.
10. Me again. I see Troy in my face and it makes me smile.

Dang! I wish I had some family photos so I could participate, but I lost them during the last move. Hoping they will turn up one day. Great photo!
Here from Cathy's and this pic did not disappoint! My stepdad still has those same glasses.
