It's not Gambling; It's Bunco
February 18, 2010
I've mentioned before that I play bunco once a month with a group of ladies. We take turns hosting one month out of the year.
The last time I hosted was last April when the high rollers showed up.
Last night was bunco night and after the final hand (dice?) is played, everyone hands in their score cards to see if they've won any money. Unfortunately, the 80-year old guest named Backseat Betty was not in attendance.
Remember, it's not gambling; it's bunco.
Our group actually doubles the anti with half of the pot going to breast cancer research. In four years we've donated over $2,000.
Save the ta-ta's while Not gambling at bunco.
I'll take that bet.

One of my girlfriends plays Bunco. I was a sub once and it was awesome!
Wish I was there. Our Bunco group quit last year after a long stint. It was so much fun.
When my ex and I were still together we would play couples Bunco once a month! It was a lot of fun!! What a great idea to donate the money!!
I have never played Bunco. I think that would require some friends. The IRL kind.
That looks like so much fun! I have never played Bunco before and am not entirely sure what the rules are, but it's wonderful you have this tradition of hosting with your gf's. AND it's awesome that you donate $$ to breast cancer research--KUDOS! :)
That's awesome! We do prizes instead of money, but we have put on a huge bunko game in our town with all the proceeds going to Relay for Life twice.
Hey. Awesum Idea!!I have a bunco group here in Memphis and I think that is what we are gonna do this next time. So you double the ante and donate half to breast cancer fund? Amazing idea. Thanks. We are always looking for new themes. I love your pink ribbon cupcakes.
