What I Learned (so far) from My Toddler
August 20, 2009
-->Having a short attention span is wonderful when it goes from a skinned knee and tears to watching Dora.
-->No matter how small the task, independence and confidence grows after doing anything alone and quickly followed by "I did it!"
--> The beach is indeed a sandbox first and not a place to play in the ocean.
-->Water is most fun when on the outside of the body and not inside.
-->Making a suggestion of something fun to do or eat better happen Right Now or you're just lying; there is no future time.
-->The funniest things to toddlers are usually giving them the unexpected - singing the wrong lyrics to a tune they know, walking funny or just being silly in general.
-->Saying my name once is not as effective as "Mama, Mama, Mama, MAMA!" to get my attention.

LOL very funny. I too get the mom, mom, mom, mom, mom. Seriously, once is all it takes! :)
you nailed it, How did mine get so big, now everything I read I think, Oh yeah mine used to totally do that, and I swore I would never forget those moments HA!
How true is the chocolate thing...we use MnMs and that will get ANYTHING accomplished!
Fun lessons from your toddler!
I love it!
My toddlers are old now, so it was fun to see what your's has taught you.
I'm just visiting from Mama Kat's.
I am getting old...when they grow up nothing much changes !
Chocolate works for me too! :)
Kids do love when you say something they know is wrong. They get so tickled about that!
What a darling picture of you two!
Oh how cute he is!! I agree with them all, especially that top one about Dora. But with my daughter, it's become all about Barney right now.
Stopping by from Mama Kat's!
Just discovered your blog from Mama Kat and I love it! Chocolate never grows old with my toddler (and me). Sometimes I have to pop a few dark chocolate M&M's by 8a.m. if our day starts 2-3 hours before then with lots of tears. TGFC!
So funny, so true!
What a beautiful pic of the two of you! He's like your mini-me!
