Dog Days of Summer

July 8, 2009

We're in the middle of the Dogs Days of Summer in Virginia but yet, it's still not *too* hot.
Sandy and Sydney finding some shade at Lake Anna It's coming though, the temperatures in the upper 90s with the heat index making it feel over 100F. To me it feels like you walk outside into a blow dryer turned on high heat.

My curly hair is starting to frizz just at the thought. Maybe I should check the forecast...

I hate the heat. Thank God it stays pretty cool in these parts. Those dogs look content though. Labs are the best. :)

I love summer, heat or not. Maybe that's just because the alternative is winter. Blech.

I turn on the hose for my two labs and let them enjoy a cool dip in the baby pool! I don't even have a baby anymore, but I keep the pool for my dogs.

Oh man. Summer in NH is one of the reasons I stay here. It's so nice that the temp rarely gets into the 90's. On the other hand, I never feel like I actually get a summer.
