Flashback Friday (part 20) - Friends & Flowers

About five years ago, Tim and I started hanging out with a couple named Gwen and Chris. Chris joined Tim doing computer work for a contractor of the military. Since he was the new guy at the the time he was nicknamed "Effing" New Guy or FNG Chris.

FNG Chris always wanted to move back to Texas from Virginia and once Gwen finished her assignment in the military she was on her way to Texas as well.

Here they are at a Thanksgiving dinner at The Neighbors house in 2004.

Before Gwen could meet up with FNG Chris, she stayed with us for about a month. As a thank you gift, she gave us this clematis.

Every year we cut it back in the fall and it "springs" to life in May. I think of Gwen and FNG Chris and our fun time hanging out together years ago.

Gwen also gave a plant to Caroline. That is Alexis in the picture at about five weeks old.

Hard to believe that Caroline is about to have her third baby in a few months.
