Flashback Friday (part 6) - A Bet's a Bet
January 30, 2009
Before we got married and moved into our new house in June 2003, we lived at The Neighbors house along with two other guys. It was affectionately referred to as The Frat House because you can imagine life in a big house with four men, three women and three dogs. On the weekends, Eddie's wife Kat joined us from DC. The average age between us was 29.
During this time we had a lot of "Men's Bowling Nights" on Thursdays which rarely involved bowling but usually some a lot of drinking and card playing.
After we moved into our new house, two former Frat House residents came to visit over Fourth of July weekend. Kat and Ed were excited to see us and our new house. They were equally motivated to get us to drink a lot of beer to which Tim said, "No way, I have to dig a hole for the hammock pole tomorrow." Kat told Tim she in fact would dig the hole the next day if he would have a few drinks with her.
A deal is a deal. So they both drank beer. Eddie and I felt it was best to support them and followed suit.
The next day it was digging time. She didn't realize that the hole needed to be at last three feet deep for the post. Luckily, she had plenty of supervision from Cary, Carson, husband Eddie, me and Tim.

Tim helped her out a bit.

The final results with Carson standing in the hole.
