Flashback Friday (part 4) - Beer Pong

January 16, 2009

Four years ago, two close girlfriends (CC and Sarah) got together for a trip to Home Depot with a project in mind. Knowing they were traveling from DC to Va. Beach to stay with us for a weekend, they wanted to bring a gift to show their appreciation. I have to admire their planning skills, creativity and attention to details.

They made me a beer pong table.

Yes, these two preppy young ladies bypassed an after work happy hour in their business suits to go to Home Depot and pick up 3/4 inch plywood, paint, brackets and screws.

The result is a three piece beer pong table that fits perfectly on top of our pool table in the party room and most importantly, close to my BFF Betty. It's painted maroon, has a white border and on either side are two orange VT symbols for Virginia Tech. To avoid cheating, they even included the two triangles on either side where the cups are placed.

Here is a picture in September 2005 of Chris and Tim playing. Good times for sure.

Each of the boys are "defending" their cups.
Ignore all the beer brewing paraphernalia under the pool table please. (Made you look.)

Here is an explanation of Flashback Friday and previous posts.

That's funny! I don't know what it is exactly, but I can appreciate the effort behind it. :)

I must be getting old - I have heard of beer pong, but I don't know what it is. Still seem like really good friends to have though!

Wow, this is a special dedication to drinking only Bossy can appreciate!
