Hello there, 2014

January 2, 2014

The conclusion of the holiday season has happened with the celebration of a new year in our house. This weekend, I plan on taking down all the Christmas decorations and adjust to lack of sparkling white lights I see from my chair when I watch television.

2013 was a good year for all intents and purposes. So was 2012, and 2011 and 2010 and ... you get the point. The years haven’t been perfect nor did we go without some missteps, fumbles and unexplainable loss for my step-kids. However, I’m a firm believer that we make the most of what we’re given and you can only learn from your mistakes and move on.

Since we’re obsessed with making new year’s resolutions.
Here are mine:
1. Adopt a healthier lifestyle.
2. Spend more time taking photos with my fancy camera and not my iPhone.
3. Write an actual letter and mail it to a friend once a month.

That’s it.

Can I pinch number three from you?
I had that on my list from last year along with some other stuff I didn't do.
