Jamaican Me Miss You
June 18, 2013
We just returned from a week in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was our first trip back since getting married in Ocho Rios 10 years ago.
After all the preparation for getting ready to go on vacation (haircuts, dog boarding, packing, pedicure, holding mail, stopping the paper, watering plants, mowing the grass, etc.) we were ready to return to our island of no problems.
My mother-in-law Debbie and The Bobfather (Tim's dad) landed a hour before us and we met in the hotel lobby. And unlike our previous vacations where I threatened to punch him in the face and he told Troy to run for his life, we had a great week!
This was the first thing you see when you enter the hotel.
The entire week was filled many, many hours in the lazy river, trips to the swim up bar and taking turns going down the water slides with Troy.
Meanwhile, The Bobfather doesn't know a stranger because he talked to everyone that was in ear shot. If they weren't, he yelled out to them anyway.
We joked him all week that no matter where the person said they were from, he had lived there or traveled through the town at some point in his life.
Being an all-inclusive resort, the biggest challenge of the day past which bathing suit to wear to breakfast was what to drink next. We waivered between the Bob Marley, frozen Bahama Mama and Purple Haze before settling into the local Red Stripe.
We are already talking about going back next year mainly so The Bobfather can make new friends.
