Flashback Friday (Part 79) - No Problem, Mon

January 21, 2011

As I move closer to my mid-30s, it’s interesting that where we went to wedding after wedding 8-10 years ago, including our own, all of our friends are having babies and more babies now. I joked earlier this week at Bunco that in 10 more years, everyone will be starting to get divorced.

I hope I’m wrong.

As I was looking for a picture for Flashback Friday, I found this gem from our engagement party in Charlottesville, Va. in April 2003.
Tropical Engagement Party - Charlottesville April 2003
Hosted by our tubing, pig roasting and Bloody Mary toolkit friends, this picture has my college roommate Therese, her boyfriend from high school, college and now husband Chris, (not pictured, their three kids because they weren’t born yet) me, CC in front, my brother Mike, Tim and my Dad. Since Tim and I got married in Jamaica, there was an island theme.

I didn’t need an excuse to wear a coconut bra and grass skirt.

I still don’t.

Now it's your turn.

Find an old picture like Laura at Vodka Logic and Cathy Has Antsy Pants and share a story about it and then email me so I can add a link. Flashback Friday has no real rules other than to have fun.

Love that photo! Everyone looks so genuinely happy. And, you two look good in your grass skirts!

My flashback is up now too!

You married a man in a skirt.. oh my..

He looks like fun, wouldn't get my husband in a grass skirt.

PS.. I'm going on over 30 yrs married and my friends are mostly still married.

The coconut bra and grass skirt looks better on you than on my FIL. Don't ask.
